vacation update Dubrovnik #1

hello world. Since Louise vomited this morning I am stuck down on the couch for the entire day, and finally have time to finish my vacation update. Here is a little bit from Dubrovnik! From Korcula, we joined some french and german couples and families as we took a small boat to the mainland and then a mini-bus into Dubrovnik. The drive have some lovey views. Dubrovnik really is a magical place. We were dropped off and hiked up (and then down) a TON of stairs. He is a picture of the stairs on our street (and now, a week after Louise's sickness, I am here to finish! Gosh this has taken a long time. so much has happened between Dubrovnik and now! Including me re-reading a favorite book of mine today. Nothing like a nice book to put you in a really good mood :) ) ANYWAY. After a complicated check in process that involved finding a local internet cafe and asking to use their phone, we finally set our stuff down and headed out. Food, of course, was numero uno on our itinerary. We ate in a little alley by the Placa (we ate almost exclusively in between little alleyways in this town, I seem to recall. We drank, however, with nothing but a railing and the entire ocean before us. More on that later, though). Here is a picture! We then walked all around the old town. We visited some churches, the rector's palace (which served as a venue for multiple museums and exhibits and the like). Here are more pictures! (one of them is the picture of a dragon etched into the wall of a prison cell in the rector's palace. The dragon cell!) I'll write more abut Dubrovnik soon - I promise!
